Canyon Run goes mobile on the 4th
Blog, blogidy, blog, blog, blog...How long can one really stare at the screen and still not have a thought of what has happened in the last month?! I know we've played lots of shows and probably had fun at most of them. ;) We've done Ron's a couple of times and PlaMor and...let me look at the schedule...something grand will soon come to me, I'm sure of it. Well, that's no good...just future shows. I'll go with that then! I am playing w/a moving band for the first time on Friday. Froggy 98 has asked us to ride their float for the Parade on the 4th of July so that should be interesting. Come on out at 4:00 and see the mobile band Canyon Run! We'll even take requests! After the parade we will be playing on the float (stationary at this point) in front of the bank selling c-ds. (hint, hint, nudge, nudge) After that we're heading to Cedar Rapids. The Fireman's Ball! First time there too. I believe it's BYO...that will really be interesting!
Enough about the future, you can all read the schedule...how 'bout the past. It's all coming back to me now! Denise and I spent a few days in Nashville. Kind of the same old drill down there but it is always fun! Tiger hooked us up w/some writers again and we wrote w/some old friends as well. Still waiting for someone to pick one of these jewels up and give me a leg up. Or just pick me up all together. That would be better yet. If only my grandma ran a label. I'd be a star...
Anyway, I'm obviously rambling and mostly just wanted to wish you all a Happy Fourth! Have a great one and can't wait to see you at a show soon!
